Working with a love coach (part 2)
Yesterday one of my amazing clients was telling me about a date she had. The man is charming, they had a great time and kissed (yay!)
And right after she carried on “but I’m not really looking for a relationship right now, more for a friend with benefits.”
I stopped her.
“Hmmm, let me get this right…
You chose to get a love coach.
You picked your goal for our work together to be in a relationship.
And now you’re telling me you’re NOT looking for a relationship?”
She laughed, realizing the obvious… and we went on unravelling her reasoning.
This happens for all of us.
Along with our deepest desires come deep fears.
And naturally our minds come up with many excuses to avoid what feels like a threat.
So, this is what a coach does.
She reminds you of your goal, in case you forget it.
She guides you to meet the parts in you that are blocking you from getting what you want, so that they don't influence you so much.
And she occasionally calls you on your BS… in a loving way
