As humans, we are wired to stay in our comfort zone, to stay where it feels safe.
Back in the days it meant hiding in a cave, away from predators.
Todays it means avoiding speaking your mind in a work meeting, wearing the same usual outfit instead of that new sexy one…
But it also means staying with our “comfortable” thoughts…
Even the ones that are absolutely not serving us.
I’m lazy
I’m not good enough
I’m too much
There is no one out there for me
Our brains are just plain lazy and would rather stick with the old and familiar than trying out a new tune. Because it feels uncomfortable. And it takes a lot more of energy to “practice” a new thought.
It takes trust.
It takes commitment.
So, you get to choose.
Status quo.
Comfort.
Survival.
Or
Change.
Discomfort.
And the possibility to get the results you want in your life.
