Meeting all parts of us
Today, for some reason I didn’t feel well, a bit sad, a bit grumpy.
I first wanted this feeling out of my way. I wanted to be efficient, I had a job to do. Emails to write. People to contact. I tried working but I was blocked.
So, I decided to be present with that discomfort, to make space for it.
I dropped my to do list.
I put music on and cleaned the house, moving my energy and relaxing my mind. I took a nap. I went for a long walk on the beach.
As I did this, as I created enough space, I could finally hear the thoughts and feel the emotions clearing up.
And by allowing the experience, its murkiness faded away and I felt better.
This is one of the things we do in my coaching.
I guide you to meet parts of you that feel uncomfortable. In a very safe and loving way you give yourself permission to feel emotions that have been repressed for a long time.
Fear of intimacy.
Feeling of unworthiness.
Shame of being seen as “too” sexual.
Anger against yourself for not having said no…
This is one of the keys for transformation.
We don’t need to spend hours analyzing and understanding the whys and hows.
We just need to get in touch with all the parts of us. The easy ones and the challenging ones. Making space and bringing unconditional love to each of them.
Peeling off the layers.
Getting to know, accept and love who we really are deep down.
